- Butter
- 1 egg
- 1 slice American cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- Optional: Louisiana hot sauce

Step 1: Toast the Bread
Spread butter on the cut sides of the bread roll. Place the bread roll butter-side down on a preheated griddle. Toast until golden brown on both sides. If using sandwich bread, toast in a toaster.

Flip the bread roll to toast the other side.

Step 2: Cook the Egg
Add a little butter to the griddle.
