The Lazy BBQ Ribs Recipe that Makes Fall Off the Bones Ribs

This incredibly simple recipe delivers tender, fall-off-the-bone BBQ ribs with minimal effort.

Perfect for a weeknight meal or a casual get-together, these ribs are cooked low and slow in a crock-pot, resulting in succulent, flavorful meat that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs pork finger ribs
  • 1/4 cup BBQ spice rub
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce
  • Large russet potatoes (for baked potatoes – optional)
  • Olive oil
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Butter
  • Sour cream
  • Fresh chives

Step 1: Prepare the Rib Rub

Combine the BBQ spice rub and all-purpose flour in a bowl. Mix well.

Step 2: Season the Ribs

Place the pork finger ribs in the crock-pot.

Add the spice rub mixture to the ribs and mix until evenly coated.

Step 3: Add BBQ Sauce

Pour half of the BBQ sauce over the ribs, spreading it evenly over the top layer.

Step 4: Slow Cook the Ribs

Cover the crock-pot and cook on high for 4 hours, or until the ribs are tender.

Step 5: Prepare the Potatoes (Optional)

Wash and dry the russet potatoes, making a deep “X” on top and rub with olive oil and season with flaky sea salt.

Step 6: Bake the Potatoes (Optional)

Place the seasoned potatoes in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) and bake for about 1 hour, or until soft.

Step 7: Check the Ribs

Once the ribs are cooked, the meat should easily slide off the bone.

Step 8: Prepare the Baked Potatoes (Optional)

Remove the baked potatoes from the oven and gently press them open. Add butter, mashing and fluffing the inside. Season with flaky sea salt, cracked black pepper, and sour cream to your preference. Top with fresh chives.

Pile the ribs on a plate and serve alongside the loaded baked potatoes (optional) or your choice of sides. Garnish the ribs with fresh chives and extra BBQ sauce, if desired.
