It turns out there might be a very simple reason the legendary coach didn’t push back.

And it sheds light on the dynamics behind one of football’s most talked-about relationships.

Who is Jordon Hudson?

Jordon Hudson, 24, has been increasingly visible alongside former Patriots coach Bill Belichick, 73.

Their relationship has garnered significant attention, partly due to the age difference, but also because of Hudson’s seemingly growing influence.

Belichick himself described Hudson as his “creative muse” during a recent CBS interview intended to promote his new book.

However, that same interview raised eyebrows when Hudson interjected from off-camera.

The CBS Interview Incident

Sitting down with Tony Dokoupil for “CBS News Sunday Morning,” Belichick faced questions about his book and life.

When Dokoupil asked how the couple met, Hudson reportedly stepped in.

“We’re not talking about this,”

Hudson said, cutting off the line of questioning, despite not being the one interviewed.

Pro Football Talk noted this wasn’t the only time she interjected during the segment, adding fuel to speculation about her role.

The Dunkin’ Super Bowl Ad

The controversy extends to the high-profile Dunkin’ Super Bowl commercial earlier this year.

The ad famously featured Belichick alongside Hollywood stars Ben and Casey Affleck, playing on Belichick’s gruff persona and Boston ties.

Hudson also appeared in the commercial, visually prominent but without any spoken lines.

Now, reports suggest her inclusion wasn’t just a simple casting decision.

‘Forced Her Way In’

According to a report from Page Six, Hudson’s appearance wasn’t initially planned.

A source told the publication that Hudson allegedly “forced her way into” the star-studded commercial.

This move apparently surprised onlookers involved with the production.

“People said they’ve never seen anything like it,”

the source added, highlighting the unusual nature of the situation.

This wasn’t the only instance where Hudson has reportedly asserted influence regarding Belichick’s professional ventures.

Other Reported Power Plays

Reports surfaced previously suggesting Hudson played a role in derailing plans for HBO’s “Hard Knocks” to feature North Carolina’s football team, where Belichick now coaches.

Before the deal collapsed, Hudson reportedly “demanded” an executive producer credit on the show.

She also allegedly requested access to “dailies” (raw footage) from NFL Films, which co-produces the series.

Furthermore, sources claimed she insisted executives needed to “treat her with respect or they wouldn’t get to use the coach’s ‘IP’” (intellectual property).

It’s also been reported that Hudson has been included on emails with University of North Carolina staff, following a request from Belichick.

These incidents paint a picture of someone deeply involved in the veteran coach’s affairs.

The Reason Belichick Reportedly Allowed It

So, if Hudson did indeed “force her way” into the lucrative Super Bowl ad, why would the famously stoic Bill Belichick allow it?

The Page Six source offered a surprisingly pragmatic explanation.

Despite the alleged assertiveness,

“Bill saw it as a way for her to get paid.”

This suggests Belichick may have viewed the commercial opportunity primarily as a financial benefit for his girlfriend, potentially outweighing any concerns about how her inclusion came about.

It implies a supportive, perhaps even enabling, stance from the coach regarding Hudson’s ambitions.

As Belichick navigates his new role in college football and the couple maintains a public profile, their relationship continues to be a source of intrigue both on and off the field.
