Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces.

Place chicken pieces in a bowl. Add cornstarch and toss to coat evenly.

Step 2: Brown the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

Working in batches, brown the chicken pieces. Do not fully cook.

Transfer browned chicken to the slow cooker.

Step 3: Make the Orange Sauce
In a bowl, combine orange marmalade, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, most of the sesame seeds (reserve some for garnish), minced fresh ginger, minced fresh garlic, and garlic powder.

Whisk until well combined.

Step 4: Slow Cook the Chicken
Pour the orange sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure all the sauce is in the slow cooker. Stir to coat the chicken evenly.

Step 5: Cook and Stir
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 3 hours.

After 1 ½ hours, stir the chicken and sauce.

Replace the lid and continue cooking for the remaining 1 ½ hours.

Step 6: Serve
After 3 hours, remove the lid and stir the chicken.

Garnish with reserved sesame seeds.

Serve over rice.
