A Florida Keys hotel stay turned deadly when what started as an online date ended with a woman's body hidden under a water heater for days.

What began as a typical hotel booking at the Amoray Beach Resort in Key Largo quickly transformed into a horrifying murder investigation that has shocked the local community and raised serious questions about how the victim's body remained undiscovered for so long.

Nadyne Marie Tillman, 43, arranged what she thought would be a normal date through an online website. Her last communication with a friend was a simple text message reading "I'm in" before she disappeared. That seemingly innocuous message would later become a chilling final communication from a woman who had no idea what awaited her.

According to investigators, what happened next was a brutal attack that left Tillman with severe facial trauma, two black eyes, and injuries inconsistent with the "single strike" her killer later claimed to have delivered.

Perhaps most disturbing is what happened after the murder. The alleged killer, Dylan Lamb, not only remained at the resort but refused staff requests to change rooms – now we know why. After concealing Tillman's body in a cramped water heater closet, Lamb continued his stay as if nothing had happened.

When hotel housekeeping later entered the room, they discovered three large trash bags filled with towels and linens heavily stained with what appeared to be blood, urine, and feces. In a tragic twist, staff disposed of these items before realizing their significance, unwittingly throwing away crucial evidence.

"The dumpster had already been emptied by the contracted waste company, rendering the items unrecoverable," deputies noted in their report.

Making matters worse, this wasn't Lamb's first violent encounter with a woman. Court records show he previously pleaded no contest to battery after allegedly beating another woman in 2022, pulling her from a vehicle by her hair and stomping on her head. Text messages later revealed him acknowledging the attack, writing "How can I make it right by you I'm broke and jobless" when confronted about the $16,000 medical bill his victim faced.

When authorities finally discovered Tillman's body and questioned Lamb, his explanation was as callous as it was implausible. He claimed she had taken money without providing agreed-upon services, leading to a confrontation where he "struck her once." According to his account, he then "freaked out" after finding her unresponsive.

The reality, according to investigators, tells a different story. Tillman's body was found partially clothed in a fetal position, bearing injuries consistent with multiple blows. Lamb had her credit card in his wallet when apprehended.

Lamb now faces multiple charges including second-degree murder, false imprisonment, destroying evidence, and soliciting prostitution. He remains held without bond at the Monroe County jail while the community grapples with how such a horrific crime could happen at a popular tourist destination.

For friends and loved ones of Tillman, who became concerned after her "highly uncharacteristic" silence, the discovery has brought answers but no comfort as they mourn a woman whose life ended in unimaginable violence, hidden away in a resort closet while vacationers enjoyed their stay just feet away.
