Fox News’ Peter Doocy reveals shocking claims about how White House staff treated President Biden
It turns out White House correspondents have a unique perspective on power. Especially when questions arise behind closed doors.
Years of reporting on the President of the United States can reveal things others might miss.
Concerns about a president’s health are always a serious matter. They’ve surfaced repeatedly regarding former President Joe Biden.
Years of Questioning
Fox News’ Peter Doocy has spent significant time covering Joe Biden, both as a candidate and in the White House. He recently highlighted just how often questions surrounding Biden’s cognitive state and the administration’s handling of the issue have come up.

Doocy shared several videos on social media platform X. These clips showed him directly asking Biden and White House officials about concerns regarding the then-president’s mental fitness.
He noted that anyone wondering why these questions weren’t asked, or why queries about potential staff cover-ups weren’t made, simply wasn’t paying attention to his reporting.
His sustained focus stands out amidst criticism that much of the mainstream media has avoided directly addressing these sensitive topics.
The Special Counsel’s Assessment
One notable exchange involved Doocy questioning Biden about Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report. The report, which examined Biden’s handling of classified documents, described him as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

Doocy asked Biden directly about this assessment.
Biden responded forcefully.
“I’m well-meaning and I’m an elderly man and I know what the hell I’m doing. I put this country back on its feet. I don’t need his recommendation,” Biden said.
Doocy then pressed further, asking about the state of Biden’s memory and his ability to continue serving.
Biden’s retort became a memorable moment.
“My memory is so bad, I let you speak,” Biden shot back.
White House Briefing Room Encounters
Doocy’s questions weren’t limited to interactions with the President himself. He frequently challenged then-White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during briefings.

He pointed out instances where Biden seemed to repeat stories or make apparent gaffes.
At one briefing, Doocy referenced a campaign event where Biden reportedly told the same story twice, nearly word-for-word, within minutes.
Jean-Pierre declined to discuss the specifics, citing that it was a campaign event.
She also addressed Biden’s own comment about his health, where he reportedly said “health is fine. It’s just his brain.” Jean-Pierre dismissed this as a “light-hearted joke.”
Historical Figures and Other Concerns
Another instance involved Biden appearing to confuse French President Emmanuel Macron with François Mitterrand, who passed away in 1996.

Doocy brought this up during a briefing.
“How is President Biden ever going to convince the three-quarters of voters who are worried about his physical and mental health that he’s OK even though in Las Vegas he told a story about recently talking to a French president who died in 1996?” he asked.
Jean-Pierre’s response was dismissive.
“I’m not even going to go down that rabbit hole with you,” she stated.

Following a debate performance against Donald Trump, Doocy also inquired if Biden had been tested for conditions like Parkinson’s Disease or dementia.
The response focused on physicals.
“What we shared with you was comprehensive, but he’s had a full physical. We’ve shown the results of those this past three years,” Jean-Pierre replied, adding that they were committed to transparency regarding physical results, following previous administrations’ practices.
Recent books, like “Original Sin” by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson, have reportedly echoed some of these concerns, alleging that Biden’s inner circle was aware of and concealed instances of cognitive decline. A Wall Street Journal report also detailed concerns about Biden’s performance in private meetings.
The Direct Question
Perhaps one of the most striking questions Doocy posed to the White House press secretary related directly to observations about how staff interacted with the president.

He asked if Biden was treated by White House staffers “like a baby.”
The response from Jean-Pierre was unequivocal.
“No one treated the president of the United States, the commander-in-chief, like a baby,” she replied. “That’s a ridiculous claim.”
Despite the administration’s consistent denials and dismissals, Doocy’s compilation of his past questions highlights the persistent nature of the concerns raised regarding the 46th president’s fitness for office and how those questions were handled by his team.
These questions continue to be a subject of public and media discussion.
