Wait until you hear what happened in the House this week.

Every single Democrat in the chamber cast a vote that might shock you.

This vote was against a bill the White House calls transformative for America.

It’s a package designed to deliver massive tax cuts and historic border security measures.

The legislation, dubbed President Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill,” narrowly passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 215-214.

According to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, the Democratic opposition signals something significant.

The White House Weighs In

Speaking after the vote, Leavitt didn’t hold back.

She stated that the Democratic Party “has never been more radical and out of touch with the needs of the American people.”

The White House is positioning this bill as a crucial step toward an “Golden Age of America.”

They are urging the Senate to pass it quickly.

What’s In This “Beautiful Bill”?

The bill promises substantial changes for Americans.

Leavitt highlighted that it delivers “the largest tax cut in American history for middle-class families, the working class and small businesses.”

On the fiscal front, the Trump administration and Republicans hope the bill will significantly reduce the national debt.

It aims to cut approximately $1.5 trillion in government spending.

This comes as the U.S. government debt exceeds $36 trillion.

But the bill isn’t just about taxes and spending.

Border security is a major component.

Leavitt stated it will “permanently secure the border by delivering the largest border security investment in history.”

This includes funding for at least 1 million annual removals of illegal immigrants.

It’s set to be the largest deportation campaign ever undertaken.

The bill also includes funding to finish the Trump border wall.

And it provides pay raises and bonuses for ICE and Border Patrol agents.

Republican Defections

While Democrats were unified in opposition, two Republicans voted against the bill.

Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Warren Davidson of Ohio broke with their party.

When asked if President Trump believes these lawmakers should face primary challenges, Leavitt suggested he does.

She criticized them, asking what their alternative was.

“Did they want to see a tax hike? Did they want to see our country go bankrupt?” Leavitt questioned.

She emphasized the need for Republican unity behind the president.

“The president believes the Republican Party needs to be unified. And the vast majority of Republicans clearly are, and are listening to the president,” Leavitt added. “They are trusting in President Trump, as they should, because there’s a reason he’s sitting in this Oval Office. It’s because he’s the unequivocal leader of the Republican Party, not just a president for Republicans, but all Americans.”

The Big Reveal

So, the surprising part? Despite policies the White House describes as “common-sense and massively popular,” every single Democrat in the House voted against them.

This unanimous vote against major tax cuts and historic border security investment is what the White House argues proves the party is now fundamentally out of step with mainstream America.

Leavitt pointed to the president’s high approval rating as evidence of his success in delivering for the country.

She suggested that Republicans who voted no should “take note” of the president’s ability to deliver.

The stage is now set for a showdown in the Senate.
