DHS stated that the agents present were not from ICE, as the Dodgers’ statement had indicated.
Furthermore, DHS maintained that their presence was not related to any enforcement operations targeting the baseball club or its patrons.
Instead, a CBP official explained that US Customs and Border Protection vehicles were in a nearby parking lot.
The official claimed one of the vehicles experienced a mechanical issue, causing them to remain longer than intended.

The government confirmed that there has been an increased presence of CBP agents in the greater Los Angeles area recently.
This surge in personnel was attributed to the need to respond to unrelated protests concerning the administration’s immigration enforcement policies.

“This had nothing to do with the Dodgers. CBP vehicles were in the stadium parking lot very briefly, unrelated to any operation or enforcement,” Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated.
