Cheesy Hamburger and Rice Casserole

This simple, comforting casserole is packed with flavor and perfect for a weeknight meal. The combination of ground meat, rice, vegetables, and cheese creates a satisfying dish that the whole family will love.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 lb Ground Turkey (or Ground Beef)
- ¾ Green Bell Pepper, chopped
- 2 small Red Bell Peppers, chopped
- ½ large Onion, chopped
- Lowry’s Seasoning Salt, to taste
- McCormick Brown Sugar Bourbon Seasoning, to taste
- McCormick Sea Salt, Black Pepper, and Garlic Blend, to taste
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 ½ cups Chicken Broth
- 2 cups Uncooked Rice
- 1 (10.75 oz) can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- ½ cup Water
- 1 ½ cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- ½ cup Mexican Cheese Blend, shredded
- ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- ¾ cup Chicken Broth
- Green Onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Dried Parsley Flakes (for garnish)

Browning the Meat
Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add ground turkey (or beef) to the skillet.

Brown the ground meat.

Adding Vegetables
Add chopped green bell pepper and red bell peppers to the skillet.

Add chopped onion to the skillet.

Stir and continue cooking until the vegetables soften slightly.

Seasoning the Meat
Add Lowry’s Seasoning Salt to the meat mixture.

Add McCormick Brown Sugar Bourbon Seasoning.

Add McCormick Sea Salt, Black Pepper, and Garlic Blend.

Grinding and Adding Garlic
Use a meat chopper or grinder to break down the meat into smaller pieces.

Add minced garlic to the skillet.

Stir to combine.

Adding Broth and Rice
Pour 1 ½ cups of chicken broth into the skillet.

Add 2 cups of uncooked rice.

Stir until the rice is saturated with the broth.

Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

Adding Cream of Mushroom Soup
In a small bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and ½ cup of water.

Pour the soup mixture into the skillet.

Stir to combine.

Adding Cheese
Add 1 ½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese to the skillet.

Stir until the cheese is melted and incorporated.

Transferring to Baking Dish
Transfer the mixture to a prepared baking dish.

Adding More Broth and Cheese
Pour ¾ cup of chicken broth over the casserole.

Top with Mexican blend cheese.

Add more cheddar cheese.

Add mozzarella cheese.

Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

Baking the Casserole
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.

Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-40 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnishing
Remove the casserole from the oven and top with chopped green onions.

Sprinkle with dried parsley flakes.

Return the casserole to the oven for 5 minutes.

Serving
Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
